MEET OUR TEAM

SHARON MILLER, Thrive Coach

I have been coaching at Thriveology for over 5 years. I have made a lot of close friendships and I love that the gym is more of a community rather than a place that I try to avoid talking to people. I love coaching because it is so rewarding to hear and see the progress our members make. The best part about my job is getting to help people connect their actions to their goals and seeing it actually click. In my spare time, I like to do anything outdoors and spend quality time with my husband and dog babies. My favorite activities include hiking, camping, biking, canoeing, rock climbing, and oddly enough, just lying in the grass on a warm sunny day.

TREVES JANSZEN, Thrive Coach, Chief Accountability Officer

I have always enjoyed caring for others and I always knew I would choose a career that allowed me to do just that. As a nurse, I cared for patients combating the effects of chronic disease and saw first hand how this impacted their lives and the lives of their family members. When I was in my 40’s, I found myself headed down that very same path and knew the consequences that lied ahead. I was introduced to strength training and a healthier way to eat through a friend where I embarked on my very own health journey. I saw first hand what an impact this could have on one’s life and wanted to share this with others. I became a client of Jerry’s and with his encouragement grew my new found passion for health and wellness. Over time, I worked towards becoming a personal trainer myself and also a nutrition coach, and I am now able to fulfill my dream of helping others take charge of their health. I love working at Thriveology because it’s more than just a gym. It builds that type of environment that helps people to succeed. Helping and supporting others is one of our top goals. When I am not at the gym, I enjoy reading, cooking tasty food, and caring for my family and friends.

TAYLOR MCGRATH, Thrive Coach

Since 2019 when I first became a member of the Thriveology pack, I have built lifelong relationships while also developing my strength both mentally and physically. As a chronic avoider of all things physical activity prior to that, I am continually in awe of my lifestyle changes and how much they have improved aspects of my life outside of the gym. You do not have to be a current/former athlete, life-timer in the gym, or master in fitness to start implementing physical activity into your daily routine and I strive to promote that it is never too late to change habits. At Thriveology, we are a close-knit group of varying fitness level individuals who are all here for the same reason; Getting 1% better every day. When not in the gym, I can be found spending time with my (large) family and finding ways to push myself in my health journey by reading or participating in challenges.

McKinlee Miller, Thrive Coach

I’ve been a part of The Pack for over 5 years now and have loved every minute of it. During this time I have graduated highschool, played division 1 softball, and just recently graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelors degree in Biology. None of that would have been possible without the fitness and life skills that Thriveology has equipped me with. I am honored to be apart of the Thriveology family and even more excited to change lives the same way this team has changed mine.

JERRY SCARLATO, Thrive Coach, Founder

After finishing up my athletic career in college, I knew I wanted to be involved in the fitness industry somehow. So, when my brother-in-law purchased a gym in Alexandria, KY, I jumped at the opportunity to work there. The evolution from having a handful of clients at a local gym to where we are today has been gratifying and fulfilling to say the least. Working with our Thriveology Team has helped me improve in so many ways while watching the Pack grow and prosper has been inspiring. I’m constantly amazed to see the impact that our Team has on our Pack Members each and every day. Which is why I thoroughly believe that progress happens 1% at a time, with a constant focus on daily improvement.

JOHNNA MALLERY, Member Care Specialist

I’ve been a part of The Pack for quite some time and one thing that was quickly evident was the tight knit community Thriveology has and continues to build. At most gyms, you walk in and keep to yourself. Here, you walk in and you’re greeted by an abundance of smiles, are continuously encouraged during your workout, and leave knowing you have friends to come workout with again the next day. That is something I’ve always cherished about this place. Over the years, I’ve been the cleaner of the gym, but I’m so honored that I’m now the Member Care Specialist! Struggling with the app? Your payment didn’t go through? You want to upgrade your membership? I’m your girl!! You’ll also find me snapping pictures here and there  (don’t worry, I’ll always try to get your good side…)  and posting on social media often! When I’m not at the gym, you can find me exploring all different coffee shops, serving within the youth ministry at my church, writing, and hanging out with my friends!
